Nikhil Y Sharma is a visual artist working in the forms of furniture, painting and sculpture. Raised in a South Asian immigrant community in the heart of the Silicon Valley, he was formally trained as a software engineer before beginning his artistic journey. In contrast to the fast-paced tech environment he was raised in, Sharma’s work invites viewers to slow down and consider the inherent conflict between our natural and industrial worlds. His work has been exhibited across the country, and his sculptures and furniture pieces have garnered commissions throughout the Bay Area.
